Twin City Home Educators is a home education support group that encompasses the greater Hawkes Bay area.

We are 50+ families at present and are seeking to grow to be able to offer even more specific activities.

Emails are sent between termly planning meetings on any relevant community or Twin City events or opportunities via our Yahoo group.

There are/have been many organised group activities: swimming, gymnastics, thinking skills, art, technology, annual Variety Night, science discovery classes, field trips, as well as Monthly Parent Discussion Evenings (where requested) on various 'curricula' topics (ie spelling/ phonics, maths for under 10's, cartography etc).

We have a small library of reference books for month-long borrowing at a small charge.

Currently there are no fees to participate in the regional group.
